TheFreshTrader.com was founded with the intent of teaching beginning to advanced traders the skills necessary to succeed in the stock market. TheFreshTrader’s mission statement is taken from an old chinese proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
About Me
Hi, my name is Eric Peng and I’m currently an undergraduate Electrical Engineering and Computer Science major at UC Berkeley. I’ve invested in the stock market since I was in 9th grade (that’s 7 years now!). Where did I get the money? Well, I made almost 6 figures from playing online poker.
I’ve had “real” jobs at Microsoft and NASA as a software engineer, and I’ll be working at Google for the summer as a product manager. While this website is mostly a hobby of mine, I hope to make some money on the side with it as well. Finally, I’m also starting a company on the side while I’m working and attending school.
My true passion, however, lies with the stock market. I’ve interned at an asset management firm where I learned some of the tricks of the trade. I hope that I can share some of my passion for investing with you. Enjoy!
